Open Positions:

Caelis International Research Associate in Technology and Education, Internet Applications and Eco- Tourism (This is an entry level position as a stagiaire and does not carry remuneration)

The substantive position is to monitor opportunities as they are published on Asian Development Bank and World Bank Websites and assess the match between Caelis’ competencies and the project requirements. Liaise with Bank officials and support staff, and develop excellent working relationships in each situation.

Perform basic and market-specific research through literature; Internet based publications, news services, and International organizations such as ITU and United Nations Development Progrma, and subscription sites.

Support distance education and eco - tourism projects financed by Asian Development Bank and World Bank; participate in interviews and summarize results , and integrate observation into concise reports; follow up comments, maintain project budgets, manage local expense accounts and bank accounts in different currencies, including project treasury trust funds, arrange meetings in Canada and abroad, host events, routine correspondence; liaison with Asian Development Bank, and member Governments;Assess and review Expressions of Interest filed with Asian Development Bank and or World Bank for Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

Participate in fact finding interviews with the Principal Expert and prepare minutes of meeting for review, including a list of follow up items; Arrange appointments for the Principal Expert, and follow up with persons met to obtain documents or other information as undertaken by stakeholders during interviews.

Assist in data collection and analysis to identify major components which will serve as a basis for Request for Proposals. Assist and update Caelis International web site.

 

Caelis is seeking local candidates with experience in education for an upcoming Higher Education Reform Project (HERP) in Mongolia.
